3 more days until marriage~~~ !
WOW! I can't believe it! 3 more days until the BIG DAY! so you might be wondering, what is a bride to be doing 3 days before wedding? today I finally got the veil! heehee...and picking a tiara still! Tried on the dress~! will be going back for a fitting every night, thanks SHIELA LAM - she is the fashionable cool girl that is making my dress! We've pretty much designed the dress together! tomorrow going for a hair-style try out, Personalizing our vows tomorrow! Thursday going for a body wrap from a spa certificate I got from my bridal shower! and also the rehearsal is on thursday! hmm...should be sleeping earlier but not really! I also ate spicy food today ( which I shouldbn't be, b/c is bad for your skin), but I stayed away from fried food! but I praise GOd for my skin! is a lot better ever since I used toner... PLease pray with us and for us during that day if you are coming or whatever you are doing that day! August 26th! Lord please let everything we do glorify you! August 26th - special day for the skies as well!
My friend told me that our wedding date ( August 26th, 06) is a very special day in the sky as well because something is happening that hasn't happen for 200 years or something! So I researched and found this - "On Saturday and Sunday August 26th and 27th Saturn and Mercury will reach their absolute closest to each other when less than one full Moon would barely fit between them! " "Saturn will be extremely close to Venus on 26th" hmmm, I wonder what is the meaning of this? Spirit of worship breaking out!
FRIDAY's teen rally was absolutely AMAZINGLY AMAZING! PRAISE GOD and HIs faithfulness! I've never seen the Spirit of worship broke out like this among the Vancouver teens ( mainly Asian) so that mean it can only be a miracle! heehee, if you know what I mean! The Lord totally answered my prayer since Februrary! I remember going to the "Ignite Teens conference" in Feb in Surrey, and watching the teens there so eager to worship, moving out of their seats natually to the front to worship, being filled by the spirit. I remember telling Faytene and Ben Woodmand that I really want to see this happens to the Chinese teens too! SO inside I was thinking some discoruaging thoughts, but I didn't say it outloud to GOD- this kind of freedom of expression kind of worship will not happen to the Chinese teens for a LONG Time...it'll take a lot of work and years of preping... HAHA! once again GOD PROVED ME WRONG! HELLO! ( is the same deal when I told God- Canada is hopeless, send me to China, and then he proved me WRONG!) As the worship leaders for that night, didn't have to try hard to get people to worship! that is the absolute best when people's hunger is just overflowing and excitement for God is already there! Honestly I have been to and conducted many youth rallies in the past few years, havn't seen it like this before! SUrely God put this one together, not by human hands! I was only asked to help! this was a combine effort at first by Fraserlands Church ( my fiance's church) and ECBC - the 2 biggest Chinese churhc in lower mainland...then VAncouver FIRE also joined in b/c they wanted to do a rally at the same weekened! So they combined forces and BOOM! God bought together about 600 teens last friday night! I believe someting broke through last friday night as the teens in Vancouver worshipped God so freely! SOmething more profound and deeper in the SPirit that you and me don't understand...a new level of anointing has fall afreshed that night! A crucial step closer to full scale revival for Vancouver! Was praying and hearing that from God about this night way before hand! but God totally still blew away my expectations! For those who understand - some pictures have the "orbs" in it! usually when the spirit of GOd is so strong in a place, orsb starts to appear in pictures, and surely enough I saw some of them there! Can't get your kids to leave home! Stop cooking them cheese!
After working one week as in the "Cheese Squad" for Consumer Impact Marketing, I really thank God for answering prayers and new experiencse working in the secular world! Last week I was running around downtown passing out flyers and magnets to raise awareness of Canadian Cheese. our famouse lines would be - " You look like a cheese fan sir! What's your favorite Cheese?" and i Have to wear this hat that says "Cheese for life"! also a bright fusia shirt that saids " Can't get your mother in law out of your house? Stop cooking cheese!" Very cheesy outfit! but I had a lot of fun working with my team and talking to strangers! like 2-3 every minute! (is not like we were selling things or doing surveys...we are telling people about the greta website - cheeseforlife.ca, and a chance to win prizes!) so we were recived quite well most of the time! COOL things thta happened~ 1) at least 2 people who I pass the flyers to try to evangelize to me! after I gave them the flyers, they started to reach for their pockets and I saw a pamphlet that has a cross on it! then right away I told them I am marrying a pastor and blessed them! It is definitely different being on the receiving end of it! I've been in so many churches and Christian events and ministry at church sometimes I just forget what the world is like out there! So praise God for this opportunity to experience his goodness! People out there do evangelize! I wish there were more! 2) I was praying that God will allow me to share the gospel with my team mates~ so I had a chance to do so! First in the training session - when everyone was introducing themsevls and ahve to share a passion , right away I thought - God and prayer! What else? but I hesitated - maybe I should say something cool like I love music and jazz...b/c everyone else are sharing stuff like - i like bikes, or drinking and partying... I admit it! there was a small struggle, but I knew I was suppose to be the light of Christ and Ambassador for God at that place, so when it is my turn, I proudly said - God and Prayer, and music! heehee! 3)Also had a couple of opportunities to share with one of my team mates about why I believe in God and my testimony...also told him the story of the prodical son...( he was raised in Christian home and didn't liked to be force in it, now he wants to be buddhis) so it was so awesome for our encounters and chances to talk about deeper things other than food or movies~ I pray God will plant this seed in him conitnually! Pray for his salvation! 4) saw many homeless people on the streets, they are actually quite talkative...one scene that made me sad was when I saw a guy coming out from a garbage dump sinigng...this is the real world~ broken and lonely people all around...ignored by others... I know everyone has their oppinions about - oh they do drugs, they should get a job...but still...I felt compassion toward them... so I used this chance to do some prayer walks too! 5) THE NICE WEATHER this entire week was such favor from GOD! all 5 days I worked outside was warm and funny! not cloudy at all! it wasn't until saturday that it suddenly got cloudy and rainy! What a blessing from GOD! ~ so thank you GOD for opening my eyes and answering prayers! praying for more souls to be won for you! and Also thank you for those out there who are ready at all times to evangelise and use every opportunities they've got! Went to a wedding today~ Pondering about my own coming up ! I think I want to be myself when i go up on stage! I woudln't stand completely still just b/c i'm a bride! Am I turning black? Finally...
I forgot to post this, a couple weeks ago I was eating at Oscars with my church fellowship friends. Next to us was a table of elderly people, some black people. When they were leaving 1 black lady started to talk to us, she commented on the way we use chopsticks and how we use the spoon to help with the soup noodles. Then she looked at me and said - "This pretty lady here, you look like my brother's wife, and she is not oreitnal I tell ya"... so I don't know what that means- Is she saying that I look black? Healing is life with Jesus , an ongoing journey
Have you ever thought about what happen to that Bent over woman who bled for 12 years in the bible? The woman who got healed when she touched Jesus' clothes? She got healed from her bleeding immediately! But what about life after that dramatic healing ? Is her life perfect from there on? Come to think about it, probably not! She probably have to re-learn how to live in community again after many years of isolation. THere will be people who don't believe or trust that she actually got healed! There will also be people who are jealous of her healing. All sorts of things will still be hard for her! Even though that bleeding part was healed, but now other things will surface. True healing is a life with Jesus. It is not just a boom, everything is fix. One thing may be fix, but then others will come up! When we get touch by Jesus, we embrace His love! But we also embrace the struggles that comes along with it! My life is harder than say 8 years ago! BUt the things I struggle with at that time is gone, now is other struggles! And coming to the point sometimes to accept the "thorns" in my life as Paul describes it! That only me and Jesus is enough~ His grace is sufficient! These are reflections from Living Waters course I just finish taking. It's been such a good journey! It was simple, nothing really NEW! I was reminded of simple truths of Jesus and the Father's love. Broken people coming together, sharing with honesty and courage, testimonies... Being so true to their struggles~ I thank the LOrd for such communities...it is really rare to find in the church today! Yet it is so needed! In all cases, dances are to be kept modest, wholesome and fun. Organized and sponsored dances are subject to approval by the Dean of Students and the Event Approval and Room Booking Process of the University. Organizers and sponsors are responsible to communicate the expectations for the event (see General Guidelines) to the participants in order to ensure that the dance environment maintains the integrity of the standards of the University. the Mantle of Esther
What does the mantle of Esther look like today for the church? For the sake of time perhaps we can sum it up in seven simple words: FATHERHOOD "Mordecai had a cousin named Hadassah, whom he had brought up because she had neither father nor mother. This girl who was also known as Esther, was lovely in form and features, and Mordecai had taken her as his own daughter when her father and mother died." (Esther 2:7) Esther found a father figure in her uncle Mordecai and in so doing, no longer needed to struggle with feeling orphaned or abandoned. Jesus has made provision for every believer through His death on the Cross to become a son or daughter and heir of glory. Through Christ we are accepted as legitimate children. Esther's relationship with Mordecai reminds us of the infinite care and tender grace of the Fatherhood of God in our lives. FRAGRANCE "Before a girl's turn came to go in to King Xerxes, she had to complete twelve months of beauty treatments prescribed for the women, six months with oil of myrrh and six with perfumes and cosmetics. And this is how she would go to the king: Anything was given her to take with her from the harem to the king's palace." (Esther 2:12,13) Esther was prepared for quite some time prior to being released with favor into the kings courts and prior to appearing in the public forum. Her preparation produced maturity and an ability to carry responsibility. She wore the fragrance of her preparation with humility and integrity. May the Bride of Christ embrace her time of preparation as readily as the release into the full potential of Kingdom destiny and emulate the virtue and purity of the heart of Queen Esther. FAVOR "Esther won the favor of everyone who saw her." (Esther 2:15) "Now the king was attracted to Esther more than to any of the other women, and she won his favor and approval more than any of the other virgins." (Esther 2:17) Without a doubt Esther knew favor with her father figure (Mordecai would willingly have given his life for his beloved Esther), and her contemporaries (the others in the king's harem exhibited no jealousy towards Esther that we are made aware of). She knew favor with authority figures (Esther won the favor of the king's eunuch Hegai), and her husband/king (who was always willing to listen and respond favorably to his queen). She knew favor with her team (her attendants were willing to follow through all the way to victory), and her people (the nation responded to her call to prayer and fasting). It is crucial that we receive favor by faith and walk in the blessings of authority, power, and compassion that accompany this heavenly gift. Jesus is seated on His Throne and reigns with justice and righteousness. We, too, can approach our King with confidence and see His favor outworked in our lives as we share the Good News of His glorious love and mercy. This does not mean we will not endure persecution, suffering or hardships, but rather we will know the Lord's favor demonstrated in His compassion and power in those situations. FRIENDSHIP Spending time with someone usually indicates close friendship. Esther knew intimacy with her king, and enjoyed the privilege of friendship with the most important dignitary in the land. There is no greater power or name than that of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who calls us to holy friendship. Intimacy with the King of Kings enables us to enter the corrupt domain of the kingdom of darkness and deliver His glorious light and decree God's will. We are robed in white garments and made worthy because of the King of Kings and the costly dowry Christ paid at the Cross through His atoning blood sacrifice. FREEDOM Esther found true freedom in living her life without façade or being entangled in feelings of failure. When she revealed her true identity as a Jew, she came fully into her destiny. There is no greater freedom than to simply be the person Messiah created us to be. A life thus surrendered is hidden in God, and one in whom the Holy Spirit is wholly able to release the Father's will and way. Esther was a Jewish heroine. God is still looking for Holy Spirit "freedom fighters"-–modern day heroes--to win the nations for Christ! FAITHFULNESS "Esther again pleaded with the king, falling at his feet and weeping. She begged him to put an end to the evil plan of Haman the Agatite, which he had devised against the Jews. Then the king extended the golden sceptre to Esther and she arose and stood before him." (Esther 8:3,4) God proved Himself faithful to Esther and to His people. Over and over the Scriptures undergird the truth of our Father's faithfulness to His covenant children. We can rest in the Lord's supremacy and in His wonder-working power to lead us in Grace. God is faithful to command our destinies! FULLNESS "For the Jews it was a time of happiness and joy, gladness and honor." (Esther 8:16) God wants to bring us into fullness and abundance of life here on earth. His desire is that the very atmosphere of heaven would invade our day-to-day activities and that the realm of the miraculous would become like "ordinary" oxygen to all believers! Fullness and favor are designed to embrace every facet of our lives--our spiritual, physical, and emotional health and well-being. And fullness and favor are designed for our families, our churches, our calling, our ministries, and our wealth/resources. May the mantle of Esther rest on the church today, and may we rise up to receive the seven-fold blessing outlined above with great determination and with tremendous joy! Father, I pray for a release and impartation of faith, freedom, and fullness to every believer who reads this article in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Faithful Friend, our Father and the One who is the fragrance of the Universe. Lord we receive the manna of Your presence and our new name. Happy Post Valentine's day
First want to say thanks to my sweety pie, for making last night very special! Sometimes we get off track and run in circles for a bit, but last night as we look back at our "humble beginings" God reminded us how eveyrthing is orchestrated in his hands. Last night we both found something that reminded of how we first met. Our name tags from Winter Conference 2002, and I found in my bags a piece of paper that he wrote his contacts to me the very first time. God's timing is just right! This morning I called school to find out if I can withdrawl a course, to make sure that the penalty is that much 500$. And the lady really encourage me not to drop it, and she said "God must have allowed you to take it, so He'll give you the strength to finish it" God reminded me that He is the most strategic person in this whole wide world! Why should I worry and think is my fault when things seem stress? Even if I make a mistake and supposedly wasted time, He can turn things around in one day! I am always so worried about missing the mark or missing His plans and thus my whole purpose on earth is thrown off, how silly of me? I looked back in my life and it can seem like I wasted so much time, but is all divine timing now! I have NOT missed anything~ I guess I always struggle with that mentality that I wasted time, and in the midst of stress then I think i am doing it again. But God says "hush, just watch me! Angry Parents Toss Kids Over Sold-Out Disney Park Fences Hundreds of ticket holders were reportedly turned away from Hong Kong Disneyland because the park was full with Chinese New Year holiday makers. The incident led to chaotic scenes outside the five-month-old, $4.6 billion theme park as angry ticket holders, some from overseas, demanded to be allowed in. Police were called in as some of them tried to force their way in! One Taiwanese visitor who booked four tickets online before flying to Hong Kong told the newspaper: "My kids are crying. Hong Kong Disneyland has destroyed my children's dreams."(This line is the funniest!) The chaos came after the park last month launched flexible tickets that are valid for six months but do not guarantee entry on a particular day. Previously, tickets were booked for specific days. Hundreds of thousands of tourists have flooded into Hong Kong for the week-long Chinese New Year holiday and the park, which has a capacity of 30,000 visitors a day, has been packed. A Disney spokeswoman told the newspaper: "We advise visitors to arrive early, especially on holidays which can be very busy for us." Hong Kong Disneyland, which opened in September, has been dogged with a succession of minor controversies as well as complaints that the park is too small and too expensive. Before its opening it was criticised by conservationists for putting shark's fin soup on its menus and for having stray dogs adopted by construction workers on site rounded up and killed. Great Shaking
Hi there prayer warriors! It is time to rise up again to pray for our city Vancouver for revival to come! I don't know about you but this last semester has been crazy, Spiritually and emotionally! God has taught me many valuable lessons but also calling me again to walk in destiny, for such a time as this, to call on the Lord on behalf of our nation that is decaying! Especially with the election coming up, please come and stand in the gap for our city! This is the best time to start! On New Years' day God spoke to me about praying for the city again! And He gave me a confirmation through another prayer meeting I attended that night~ January 5th would be the date, because in November God gave me word that on January 5th there will be great shaking. Now I know what thta means! SO COME to my house @ 7am starting on every Thursday! Today was the first one! Come and be refresh in Worship and then RISE up to cause a great shaking in the Spiritual realm! SEE YOU THERE!
